Our passion for breathing new life into pre-loved furniture led to the creation of CASTOff. We take pride in offering a curated selection of upcycled furniture that adds character and charm to any space.
Giving New Life to Goods and Giving Back to the Community
Castoff Retail Canada Ltd. was born from a simple realization: the secondhand market needed to be more accessible. When we set out to sell a single couch, we discovered that many interested buyers didn’t have a way to pick it up. We saw a gap in the market – a need for accessible, sustainable, and convenient options for buying and selling used goods.
With a shared passion for sustainability and community, we took the leap. Starting with just a used van, we began sourcing quality secondhand household items, cleaning them, and getting them ready for new homes. Before long, we moved from our living room to a warehouse, where Castoff truly came to life. Here, we could scale up our operations, creating jobs and offering programs to support people without transportation, students, and those with disabilities. It was about more than buying and selling; it was about giving people options and keeping things out of the landfill.
Today, Castoff is Canada’s first online used shopping portal with same-day delivery. We make it easy for people to find affordable, quality items without the hassle of pickup logistics. Our mission is to serve our community and contribute to a circular economy where perfectly good items find new life instead of ending up in landfills.
Supporting Local Communities
Our passion for giving back has extended beyond our day-to-day business. We’re thrilled to be partnered with the Central Okanagan Food Bank, donating a portion of our proceeds to support their mission. We admire the Food Bank’s commitment to fighting food insecurity in our region, and we’re proud to contribute to their efforts. Every purchase made through Castoff goes a little further, providing sustenance and hope to families in need.
